International Travelers Welcomed

International Travelers Not From Canada 

  • Guest is required to meet the same good driving rental standars as our American and Canadian guest. Canadain guest are processed the same way as US based guest; however, some Super Exotics require extra considerations
  • We require two US business days in advance of the rental for extra processing time to confirm the guest details
  • Guest must have return flight and show arriving and departing ticket upon submitting rental docs
  • Guests are required to pay for rental with a credit card from an internationally recognized issuer / bank that provides Rental Cars Insurance Coverages. Many banks offer this as a free perk when you use their credit card to pay for the rental. You can confirm this by calling your credit card issuer. We will also confirm this on every rental.
  • Guest are required to purchase extra Libility insurance coverage from a 3rd party provider. The cost is usually extreamly reasonable.
  • Guest can pay required security deposit by any of the other means of payments accepted.
  • All international reservation will have a 20% upcharge due to th added risk we are accepting and the added processing required to make ready the rental

Q. Can I pay in cash?

A. We accept cash in only two circumstances

01) We accept cash for your required security deposit if you are paying the rental portion of the fees with a Visa, Master Card, Or Dinners Credit Card. We can not accept cash for the security deposit if you are paying for any portion of your renal with an American Express card. American Express requires the security deposit be charged on the same card as the rental charges and at the same time.

02) We accept cash at the end of your rental to settle your final bill. We simply reverse the rental charges back to your credit card and you pay the bill with cash.

  • Valid Drivers License
  • Full coverage auto insurance in your name on a vehicle you own in the United States or Canada
  • Major credit card in your renter’s name

We do not accept cash under any other circumstances. Certain cash transations will require us to file state and federal cash transation forms.

Q. Will writing a bad review cause you to give me what I want?

A. Absolutely NOT!

We are going to do everything in our power to acomodate your request; however, when your request is simply not possibile, it is not possible.

If you have a confirmed reservation and something should happen that causes us to make an adjust out side of color, we will let you know as soon as we find out.

We also believe in the True Review. This means the good, the bad, and the ugly. We will never offer you money or anything else to change your review. Write whatever you are moved to write. When you read our reviews, you are reading exactly what has been written and not some paid off modified version. 

  • We only have a limited supply of specialty rental inventory that gets assigned to one guest at a time. When we are sold out, we are sold out.
  • On the very rare occasion, something might happen to the vehicle you have been assigned to that prevents us from allowing the rental veicle to take a trip: a creaked windshield, a service light might appear, or some other uncontrolable event. If this was to happen, we will try to switch you to the same make and model vehicle in a different color. If that is not possible, we will contact you to discuss what other vehicles we have avaialble. And on 3 occiasions in the last 10,000 rentals, if nothing else is possible, the rental will be cancelled. Your full payment is refundable if we ever fail to deliver an acceptable rental vehicle for your scheduled trip. Please see the full refund policy for further details.
    • To expand on this for a minute. We have a get it done attutide. We have delivered vehicles to guest directly from the service shop once the needed repairs have been completed. We have picked up one vehicle in the middle of a trip and swithced it out with an alternative vehicle. We have driven 6 hours to switch a color of the exact same vehicle for a wedding event because white was their desired color and the black vehicle they ordered was not what they ultimately wanted.
  • If you damage one of our vehicles, just do the right thing and help us get it repaired. Accedents happen. we get it. The vehicle is going to get repaired no matter what so no need to get upset and screem and yell. You are provided with a complete set of condition pics when you pick up your vehicle and a complet set of condition pics when your vehicle is picked up at the end of your trip. Very little is left to interpitation. We just deal in the facts.
  • Please PLEASE read the rental fee section of our website and your retnal quote to make sure you understand that RENTAL VEHICLES HAVE FEES. Most of these fees are common sence. We clearly displayed a detailed cost breakdown on your rental quote; however, we have no idea what you are going to use in tolls , tickets you might get, or special services you might request along your trip. Any additional fees are taken out of your security deposit and the remaining balance is refunded to you. Please do not act like you have no idea that things like Sales Tax are extra. Really!

In short, if we can do it for you, we will. If we can not do it, we will let you know.

Q: Can I come look at your inventory?

A: Yes.

Our website has our current rental inventory lineup. It is constantly changing. A simple visit to Exotic-Luxury-Rental.com will give you a good idea what we have available for you to rent at that time. Inventory does change periodically so call us if you do not see waht you want on our website. Unlike a car lot where cars are setting around waiting on guest to  show up, our specialty rental vehicles are constantly on trips with other guest.

So, while you are on the phone with us booking your specialty vehicle for your trip to Miami, that exact same specialty vehicle you are requesting will most likely be on a trip in Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta, Etc. 

Our business model does not support showroom locations where guest can come to browse super exotics, super luxury, or other super cool cars and SUVs. That structure is called a Car Lot. Sorry

Q: Where are you located?

A: Mostly Florida, for now. Our VIP specialty rental car & SUV business model is more like Amazon than the Big Box Rental Car Companies. We make your specialty rental vehicle available where it is most convient for you. You need to pick up in Tampa and return in Orlando. No Problem. You need a delivery to your resort in Miami and returned to Naples. No Problem. Please remember that special delivery and pick up request cost are extra. Rental quotes of cost provided by simply asking. 

Our VIP Specialty Vehicle Service is not for everyone. In fact, we have a special clientele. Our guest have a desire to experience a particular sort of driving experience at a particular time, and in a particular vehicle. They are simply not interested in the point A to point B big box rental car. 

All deliveries are subject to minumim rental periods, delivery fees, seasonal availabilty and pricing.

 

Q: Why Do Rental Quote Prices Change

A: Our specialty Rental Inventory is similar to GOLD. Yes, it is true. Our specialty vehicles are commodities that are highly influenced by seasonal supply and demand: Vacation season, wedding season, and corportate events are just a few of the influencing factors.

Unlike the the typical rental car agencies, we only rent vehicles that are simply not elsewhere available or you can NOT be promised to get while making your reservation.

As such, we only have a limited supply of available inventory and rental rates/prices can swing over 200% ++ during peak travel and event season. 

We work hard at offering the best rental rates / prices we can; however, demand and availability is the ultmate determination of price. 

Q: Why do I need A reservation To rent a vehicle?
A: We assign one guest to one (EXACT) vehicle. Totally different than just assigning you to something in a Like-Or-Kind-Catagory
The Big Box Rental Car Companies will over book reseevations by 200% & 300% when busy. They assign you to a vehicle catagory and  not an exact make or model vehicle like we do. You might think you are ordering a luxury SUV Cadillac Escalade ESV from the Big Box rental agencies and wind up getting a Ford Expedition. Fords are great just NOT what you expected. This happens all the time.
We assign only ONE guest to ONE vehicle. We NEVER double book or over book our vehicles. 
We only have a limited supply of specilty rental vehicles. When our vehicles have a  scheduled guest, it no longer can be booked for another trip. A particular vehicle might get blocked from availaility even if one rental overlaps another rental by 15 minutes.
Q: Will you price match if I find it cheaper elsewhere?

No. NOT INTERESTED. Thanks, But NoThanks!

We know what we are offering is priced at an extreamly competitive rate. We generally have a waiting list to rent each of our vehicles.

We also know the quality of our rentals and what it takes to keep a fleet in great rental condition.

We simply have no way to track or confirm the condition of some private party’s vehicle being offering on a third party cheap-o-depot website.  

We only have a limited supply of specialty rental vehicles. Our clientele want a good looking, running, & safe vheicle. We do not believe in pricing our quality inventory so low that all we attract the sort of guest we simply do not want to deal with at all.

Q. How long is my security deposit held?

A: 

Generally, it is held for 14 BUSINESS days after the rental has ended.

The security deposit hold amount is dependent on your driving record, age, vehicle rented, social profile, and method of payment.

Q. Do I need to buy extra insurance coverage?

A: No.

We only rent to guest that have full coverage auto insurance on a vehicle they own in the USA or Canada. The guest insurance is transferred to the rental to protect the guest and the vehicle during the rental period. Full coverage means liability, comprehensive, and collision. 

We also require that all  guest pay for their rental charges (not security deposit) with a major credit card so they get the free additional rental car coverage that comes with the use of their credit card.

Q. Why is it so important to use a credit card and not a debit card to pay for the rental?

A: You get far better protection. Almost all Credit Cards come with an additional layer of rental car insurance coverage that includes such items that your main insurance carrier might not cover in the events of damage to your retnal vehicle.

  • Admin fees required to make a damage claim

  • Towing

  • Out of service days

  • Damages less than the deductible limits or the guest’s policy

Debit Cards, even if they process like a credit card, do not come with this extra layer of free rental car protection. However, it is the guest’s responsibility to confirm the rental car benefits of their individual credit cards.

Q. Why do I have to pay for my reservation up front?
Q: Am I 100% guaranteed to get the exact vehicle I reserve?

A: Yes. 98% of the time you get the exact Make, Model, & Color of spevialty vehicle you order.

However, on very rare occasions, something might happen to the exact vehicle you are assigned to and we reserve the right to switch the color: cracked windshield, service issue that unexpectantly pops up. Example: You were assigned a 2018 red Corvette Stingray and we only have 2018 black Corvette Stingray available

On very, VERY rare occasions, we may have to upgrade you to a different vehicle. Example: You were assigned an E Class Mercedes and we have to switch you to a S Class Mercedes.

Q. What do I need to rent a vehicle?

A. We allow renters from 21+ years of age to rent from us. We do however, have different rules & rental policies for the different age brackets. 

30+ Years old can rent any class of car. The security deposit is dependent on the vehicle being rented. Most vehicles have a security deposit of $500-$1500 while the super exotics can be $1500 – $5000. Please call for an exact amount. 

25-30 years old can rent any class of car but will have a little higher security deposit

21 – 25 year old renters can rent most luxury class vehicles from us on their first trip but NOT the Super exotics. This class of renter must comply with the extra security measures we request, must be respectfull, and must have the required rental documents. If we have a pleasurable experience with the young renter on a few trips, we will be more than happy to consider allowing them to rent a super exotic for a day or two. Please be advised that we need extra time to process a young renters request and that we will consider things like credit reports and their social profiles. 

All drivers must have clean driving records: no DUI or equivalent convictions, major moving violations, or similar infractions in the last 5 years. Any of these conditions will prohibit you from renting with us

We will do whatever we can for our guest; however, we reserve the absolute right to refuse to rent to any guest for any reason

Q. Can I pick up in one location and return to another?

A. Yes. Here is an example: Pick up your rental in Miami and return it to Tampa.

No problem. We do it all the time. 

The fee for this service will be clearly displayed on your rental quote. If you are in the middle of your rental and want to make a change, just let us know and we will do everything possible to accmodate your request.

Q: I am not sure how much insurance I actually have on my personal policy. What can I do?

A: Contact your insurance agent or company directly. It takes 10 minutes and then you are ready to relax and enjoy the ride.

Q: Does my own personal insurance cover the lease/rental of a $250,000 Ferrari if my car is a Honda?

A: Yes. In all 50 states, if you carry full-coverage insurance ( Liability, Comp, and Collision), your insurance will automatically carry over and cover a lease/rental from us no matter what you daily driver is.

Q: Does any of my credit cards that I use provide additional coverages?

A: Yes. Your American Express card can provide an additional layer of coverage called “Premium Car Protection.” This is a great option because it can be purchased in addition to your regular protection.

Q: But I have insurance. Why would you bill me for any damage to my lease/rental?

A: We come across a lot of minor scuffs and scrapes on our cars when they come back from a rentals. Sometimes customers scrape a wheel, scratch a front bumper, or the most popular one is scratch or break a spoiler ( to name only a few things that happen). These repairs are quick and relatively inexpensive to make and are billed directly from your security deposit in order to minimize the amount of time the vehicle is off the road. Once your invoice has been settled, you can of course make a claim to your insurance company to be reimbursed for any charges.

Insurance Requirements

 For each rental, we call the insurance company to confirm that all provided policy information is accurate and is in good standing for the term on the trip. Each day of the rental term, we call each to confirm no changes have been made to the insurance policy provided.

  • All Renter/Drivers Must Have Full Coverage Auto Insurance On A Car They Own In Their Name Or Be Listed As An Additional Driver On A Family Member’s Insurance Policy That Lives In The Same Household. NO EXCEPTIONS
  • Comp /collision deductibles not more than $1K.
  • Minimum  liability limits very per car but not less than $20k.
  • Most Canadian auto insurance policies will transfer to US rentals. Extra coverage may be needed if Canadian guest are renting cars worth more than $70,000 Canadian dollars. Commercial policy coverage must be approved not less than 48 hours before rental starts

Q: When is my credit card charged for the rental?

A: The full amount of the reservation is charged when you reserve your specialty vehicle or any time before your rental is scheduled to start.

Q: When is the security deposit due for the rental?

A: The security deposit is charged the day before or the day the rental is scheduled to start. All security deposits are held for 14 BUSINESS DAYS after the rental is returned.

After that time has expired, the balance of your deposit is refunded back to your credit card minus and charges for tolls, credit card processing fees, extended trips, etc. 

Q: Do I need a major credit card to rent one of your vehicles?

A: Yes. We require that all renters have a major credit card on file for every rental; even if you are settling the final payment in cash

Q: What form of payment do you accept to rent a vehicle?

A: You can pay with cash, major credit card, or debit card

Q: Can I use another person’s credit card when leasing/renting one of your vehicles?

A: Maybe. The credit card used to rent the vehicle MUST be in the renter’s name. You can however have additional drivers on a rental contract. 

Q: Do I need to post a “Damage Security Deposit” to lease/rent one of your vehicles

A: Yes. A deposit is required on most of our vehicles for security reasons. The deposit is returned to you at the end of your rental term providing there are no outstanding issues with the vehicle that you leased/rented. The vehicle must be inspected thoroughly. This usually takes 14 BUSINESS DAYS after the end of your lease/rental. If there are additional mileage charges or minor damages, they are billed from your deposit and the balance is refunded back onto your credit card. If you are using an American Express card for the deposit, it is run as an “authorization only” (no actual charge). If you are using a Visa, Master Card, or other major credit card this deposit is ran as a charge which is then reversed following the completion of the lease/rental.

  • Debit cards can be used to post the security deposit; Unless using an American Express card for rental payment.
  • In certain situations, we will accept a debit card for the rental of a car. There will be a 15% upcharge due to the added risk of loss a debit card causes us and the renter when renting a car
  • Credit / debit card must be in renter’s name and must match their id
  • Using a debit card to pay for your rental will cause a higher security deposit

Quick Summary Of Rental Requirements
  • Must have a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years; no DUI’s, reckless driving, excessive speeding over 20 mph on your record in the last five (5) years

Rental Fees

Fee Schedule Of Most Common Items:

-Smoking in or around rental: $500. Smoking in or around a rental is a HUGE no,no. Please, NO smoking in or around the car.

-Perfume Cover ups in or around rental: $500. Perfume Cover ups in or around a rental is a HUGE no,no. Please, NO hanging air freshiners or perfume cover ups in or around the car.

-VIP Pick Up or Return Service is dependent on the location. Guest pays any parking fees.

-Toll & plate transponder is active on all rentals. We do NOT charge a per day or per trip activation fee. We only charge a transation fee of aprox $ .25 for each time it is used. Never use it and there is no charge. Use it twice and the service fee is only $ .50. Can not get a better deal than that.

-Basic Cleaning $24.95 if rental is not returned to us in exact same detailed condition we deliver it to guest.

-State required fees: Sales tax, Licensce recovery fee: $2.00 a day, ect.

-Tickets parking or otherwise: $59.95 + ticket

-Gas replacement: $5.95 + cost of gas

-Damaged to body: $150 + repair cost

-Interior dry out if top is left down: $129.95

-Late return past reservation time WITHOUT our acceptance: $75 per hour 

-25% – 30% Young Driver Fee Under 25 Years Old

-15% Upcharge for debit card usage. Fee is due to the increased security risk and processing we incurr when guest uses a debit card to rent vehicles vs a credit card

Minimum Rental Age

Minimum Rental – Age 21

We have had many fantastic young renters; however, the car rental industry classifies all renters under 25 as Young Renters. We welcome young renters but will consider each request on a case by case basis. The minimum requirements accepted from a young renter are as follows:

-Renter must have full coverage auto insurance in their name or be listed as a driver on a family member’s insurance policy living in the same household. If you are a listed driver on another’s policy, we will consider each rental request on a case by case basis. 

-Renter must have a CREDIT CARD (NO DEBIT CARDS ACCEPTED) in THEIR name for the rental portion of the contract. Debit cards can be used to post the required security deposit but not for the rental portion.

-Renter must have a valid driver license in their name that has been in good standing for at least 3 years: NO TICKETS FOR DUI, RECKLESS DRIVING, ETC 

-Clean social profile

-Be able to pay for the rental amount on their credit card 

-Pay a 25% upcharge due to being a young renter under 25 years old. No Exceptions

BE RESPECTFUL. We applaud all the successful young renters that have been fortunate enough to make a few bucks and now want to enjoy the fruits of their labor.  Two thumbs up! However, there are many restrictions set up by insurance companies and the likes that we have to follow. They simply do not care how much money you have in your pocket today or what some Black Listed  3rd party brokerage website is doing.

 

Refund Policy

The vehicle you reserve is the vehicle you get! To do this, we have to pack our schedule very tightly at times; thus, we have to be a little bit sticky with our cancellation policy, no show policy, reschedule policy, and our vehicle return policy. After a reservation is made, we charge your credit card for the full cost of the rental. Here is the basic breakdown:

  • Cancel within 48 hours from the time you make your reservation: 100% refund of all charges.
  • Cancel upto three (3) days before your trip starts: 50% refund of trip price refunded but $0 of the 3rd party billing fees such as Kayak, Priceline, Turo etc if there are any such fees.
  • Cancel within 72 hours of your scheduled pickup time: $0 cash refund. 

Please understand that there are no exceptions to this cancellation policy. And we will do whatever we can to allow you to reschedule to another time that works for both us. We do not mean to sound heartless but you would be amazed at the number of last-minute deaths in the family, serious illnesses, sick pets, sick mothers and mother-in-laws, and falling skies that people tell us about.

Q: Can I use online booking platforms such as Turo.com, Priceline.com, and others?

A: No. We only accept reservations directly from the guest

Q: I am not from Florida. Can I still lease/rent one of your vehicles?
A: Yes. Just make sure you have all the needed documents
Q: What are some ABSOLUTE things that will CANCEL MY RIGHT TO USE THE CAR, CANCEL MY RESERVATION, and forfeit my deposit?
A: NO rigorous driving of any sort, see our complete definition of rigorous driving. NO driving in restricted areas. No reckless driving. No driving under the influence of alcohol or any other controlled substance. Failure to promptly report an accident to police and Exotic Luxury Rental. No driving on unpaved roads. No obtaining the rental vehicle under any sort of false or fraudulent means. No allowing an unauthorized person to operate our vehicle at any time. No carrying any person for hire. ABSOLUTELY no racing, rally, speed contests, speed endurance contest, demonstration, operating our vehicles near any racetrack or road course. No teaching someone how to drive. For these and any other contract violation, we reserve the right to respond aggressively and quickly to any violation that we deem a threat to our property and the public as a whole. This includes but is not limited to the following: cancel your right to operate our lease/rental, accelerate your lease/rental agreement to abusive status, shut the vehicle’s ability to operate off electronically, and retrieved the vehicle immediately. All of which, you will be personally liable for any and all expenses we incur. If your security deposit does not cover our expenses, your will be personally responsibility for the balance over and above your initial deposit. We want you to have a memorable experience and we will do anything we can to help you with such; however, safety first.

A: There is a one hour grace period with your scheduled return time. After that, we have to start moving our schedule around to accommodate not having your vehicle back as planned. A: The Lessee/Renter is completely liable for all speeding, traffic, parking, or other tickets or violations issued while the vehicle is in your possession and the Lessee/Renter must pay for any and all penalties, fees, towing charges, or impound costs.

Q: What happens if I get into an accident?

A: Lessee/Renter should notify the police to report the accident and obtain a police report if possible. The Lessee/Renter should obtain the name of the investigating officer and his/her police department. Write down the name, address, license plate number, VIN, insurance carrier and policy number of the other vehicle’s operator. All reports / documents are to be presented to the lease/rental agent as soon after the accident as possible or upon the return of the leased/rented vehicle.

No obtaining the rental vehicle under any sort of false or fraudulent means. No allowing an unauthorized person to operate our vehicle at any time. No carrying any person for hire. ABSOLUTELY no racing, rally, speed contests, speed endurance contest, demonstration, operating our vehicles near any racetrack or road course. No teaching someone how to drive. For these and any other contract violation, we reserve the right to respond aggressively and quickly to any violation that we deem a threat to our property and the public as a whole. This includes but is not limited to the following: cancel your right to operate our lease/rental, accelerate your lease/rental agreement to abusive status, shut the vehicle’s ability to operate off electronically, and retrieved the vehicle immediately. A: Yes. In all 50 states, if you carry full-coverage insurance ( Liability, Comp, and Collision), your insurance will automatically carry over and cover a lease/rental from us no matter what you daily driver is.

A: We come across a lot of minor scuffs and scrapes on our cars when they come back from a rentals. Sometimes customers scrape a wheel, scratch a front bumper, or the most popular one is scratch or break a spoiler ( to name only a few things that happen). These repairs are quick and relatively inexpensive to make and are billed directly from your security deposit in order to minimize the amount of time the vehicle is off the road. Once your invoice has been settled, you can of course make a claim to your insurance company to be reimbursed for any charges.

Q: Do you have GPS tracking device in your vehicles?
A: Yes. All of our vehicles have a GPS tracking device which monitors aggressive driving, aggressive stopping, and aggressive acceleration. Speed, location, general conditions are also monitored. Each vehicle also has electronic remote shut off capabilities.
Q: Do you rent to International visitors?
A: Yes. International driver’s license & passport is required. We need all international reservations to be booked at least two (2) business day in advance; this does not include holidays or any days that we could have a difficulty confirming the validity of your driver’s licenses in your home country. Note: if international lessees/renters desire to rent one of our Luxury or Exotic vehicles, the international lessee/renter must provide proof of full coverage personal auto insurance.  An extra security deposit might be required depending on the vehicle you lease/rent and/or other circumstances.
Q: Can I rent for a single day?

A: Yes.
